Frequently Asked Questions
This all depends on the size of the unit that you’re looking for. We have two sizes available, 20ft (6.1m L x 2.45m W x 2.59m H = 33m3) or double door 40ft (12.2m L x 2.45m W x 2.59m H = 67.6m3) . There are guidelines in the storage calculator for how much space you might require.
No, you will need to organise your own insurance when you decide to store with us. We recommend that you check your household contents insurance first because your items might already be covered when they are away from your home but a lot of insurance policies do not include this. If it’s worth storing, it’s worth insuring.
Yes you can. You may reserve on the website for up to 3 days at no charge. If you would like to reserve a container further in advance please call to discuss the options and we’ll do our best to accommodate you..
Our minimum rental period is only one month. We do not tie you into long contracts, so if you’re unsure how long you’d like to stay with us that’s fine with us.
There’s absolutely no limit on how long you can store with us, short-term or long-term.
The container must be left in the same clean and damage-free condition as it was on arrival. Cleaning charges will apply if the unit is left in an unsatisfactory condition as will any costs relating to damage.
The first 1 month’s rent is paid in advance by direct credit or credit card, and then monthly thereafter preferably by automatic payment. When an agreement to rent storage is completed you will receive an invoice for the 1mths advance payment plus 1 mths bond due immediately. This ensures that you’re always at least 1 month in advance. Any overpayment will be refunded on vacating the unit in per day payments. Bond will be refunded once the container is vacated and an inspection is completed by the Facility Manager that the container has been cleaned to the standard of when it was moved into.
All we ask for is two weeks’ notice when you want to vacate your unit. We will then start the move-out procedure which includes organising a refund for any over-payments and letting any customers who might be looking for a unit that size, know when it will be available. Please plan to either clean your container on vacating or let us know and we’ll organise a cleaner on your behalf.
You can access your container between 7am and 8pm, seven days a week. If you need access outside of these hours this can be arranged with the site manager.
Each customer has their own individual 4 digit pin number which is used to open our computerised security gate. Simply drive up, enter your code, drive through and use your padlock key to open your unit. When leaving you will enter the same code again at the keypad by the gate. This ensures you’re secure while you’re in there. Never let someone tailgate you into the facility as they may not be a paid customer.
ContainIt Storage is totally enclosed with electronic gate access both in and out. There are CCTV cameras around the perimeter of the yard filming 24hrs a day. The operating system we subscribe to logs all entries/exits independently. To ensure your peace of mind, padlocks and insurance are your own care.
Should you miss a payment your gate code will cease to work until the missing payment has been caught up. We understand that sometimes things happen out of your control and should you find yourself in this situation you will be able to call the site manager who can open the gate at their discretion.
Hopefully you’ll find the answers to any of your other questions on our website but if not, do Get a Quote and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
